Mission Statement
FreedomForSale website highlights grievances in human rights and free speech issues in different countries. At the same time the website describes, questions and monitors international corporations that seem to support or ignore violations of human rights and free speech. Our intention is to encourage discussion and have an impact on how different countries, companies, and individuals take on their responsibilities as humanity's custodians.
Our aim is to create an interactive environment that advances human dignity, where the mistreated as well as the companies have their own voice. Even though we bring out grievances, we don't do it through simple condemnation but through challenging the companies to debate. We also challenge them to think about their future actions more in the light of human dignity than of short-term profits.
Through extensive use of visual material that is updated regularly, we aspire to rich artistic expression, and encourage visitors to produce their own stories and visual material for our use.
<br/ In a world that is strained by globalisation, everyone should take responsibility for securing and developing basic rights and spiritual values. The responsibility lies with communities, companies, and individuals — none of whom should underestimate their relevance as the builders of humanity's future. It is only through cooperation that we can stop abuses against human rights and free speech, and prevent the crippling of spiritual development in people around the world.
