The film about the Rukhnama hits the target

The documentary film by the Finnish film-makers Shadow of the Holy Book ranks among the top ten European documentaries based on 2008 results.
Featuring many foreign businessmen who won profitable contracts in Turkmenistan for translating 'The Rukhnama' authored by S. Niyazov into a number of foreign languages, the film demonstrates that ethics and morality are often sacrificed for the sake of yielding high profits.
The documentary 'Shadow of the Holy Book' was made by the director from Finland Arto Halonen and was selected for many international film festivals.
According to the decision by the European Film Academy, the film was named among the best documentary films. The ceremony to honour the best film-makers will be held in Copenhagen on December 6.
